Welcome to the first official Wild Wellness blog post. I am thrilled to embark on this journey with you, exploring the transformative power of listening to our bodies and nurturing our wellbeing from the inside out.

What is Intuitive Wellness? Intuitive wellness is the practice of tuning into the innate wisdom and natural rhythms of your body to guide lifestyle choices. It is about trusting yourself and understanding what your body truly needs, desires and deserves in order to thrive. In a world overflowing with diet trends and wellness fads, intuitive wellness encourages a return to basics: eating when you are hungry, resting when you are tired and moving in ways that feel good and bring you joy. The path of intuitive wellness cultivates a deeper connection with yourself  and involves being mindful of what your body, mind, heart and soul need at any given moment.

1. Listening to Your Body: Your body communicates its needs through hunger, thirst, energy levels, and even cravings. Learning to listen to these signals will support you with the decisions you make about food, movement and rest. Being more attuned to the signals of your body allows you to respond with kindness and care. . 

2. Mindfulness: Engage in mindfulness practices like meditation, deep breathing or mindful eating. These practices can help you stay present and connected to what your body needs.

3. Intuitive Movement: Moving your body can be enjoyable and sustainable. You may be called to dance, a gentle yoga flow, walking in nature, or a cardio workout (yes I was smiling while I typed that). Find activities that bring you joy and make you feel alive. Movement is so much more than burning calories; it is about celebrating what your body can do and how it can move.

4.  Connect with your Emotions: Take time to acknowledge, honour and feel your emotions to improve your emotional wellbeing Practice self-compassion. Use self-care practices or rituals like meditation or journaling – there is a whole module dedicated to self-care within the Wild Woman Gateway. Your emotional & mental health is just as important as your physical health.

5. Rest and Recovery: Rest is essential for rejuvenation. Prioritise quality sleep, take breaks when you need them and allow yourself time to recover. A well-rested body and mind are more capable of wellness & vitality.

6. Trust your Inner Wisdom: Your body always knows what it needs, and by tuning in and listening, you can make choices that support your well-being.

You might be thinking How do I get started with my journey of Intuitive Wellness?

Start small and begin by integrating one or two intuitive practices into your daily routine. Gradual changes are way more sustainable and a little less daunting.

Be Patient by l learning to trust the singnals and sensations of your body takes time. Be patient with yourself and acknowledge that it is an evolving journey.
