The Polarity of AI and BI
Oct 17, 2025Growth is inevitable.
As human beings, we are always building, expanding, creating new systems and finding faster ways of doing things. Society right now is buzzing with artificial intelligence. It’s shiny, clever, efficient—and for many of us it is irresistible.
This blog is all about where my heart lands: instead of turning outward for answers from Artificial Intelligence (AI)— now more than ever it is time to turn inward and choose Body Intelligence (BI).
Technology can be a tool but our bodies are the truth.
Artificial intelligence, in my eyes, is both a mirror of human brilliance and a shadow of human laziness.
On one hand, AI can be supportive.
It organises chaos.
It generates possibilities in seconds.
It offers support with ideas, phrasing, reminders and structure.
I’ll be the first to admit that I have leaned on ChatGPT for support—whether it’s helping me refine a sentence, brainstorm a concept or find inspiration for an email subject line.
In those moments, it feels like a gentle nudge, a spark, a reminder that creativity doesn’t have to be a solo burden.
In those moments, it feels like a gentle nudge, a spark, a reminder that creativity doesn’t have to be a solo burden.
Then comes a certain digital based shadow.
Artificial intelligence can also be destructive. It can strip away originality, flatten expression and reduce soulful communication to soulless replication.
Just last week, I received three emails from three different people, two of them who I know really well.
Every single one was identical.
Every single one was identical.
From opening line to closing sign-off—word for word the same.
My heart sank. Where was their story? Where was their humanness? Where was their living, breathing essence?
That is when I realised how much AI can infect human connection when left unchecked.
Have you ever received a message, email, or piece of content that felt “too perfect” but somehow lifeless? Have you ever received something from a person you knew that didn’t sound or feel like them? How did your body respond?
If AI mimics the mind, BI returns us to the truth of being human.
Body intelligence is the wisdom that lives inside of us—the compass embedded in our cells, the honesty of our nervous system, and the language of our sensations.
It’s the goosebumps when truth lands. The gut drop when something is off. The quickened heart when you’re aligned with joy, and the heaviness that settles when you’re out of sync.
Artificial Intelligence runs on data.
Body Intelligence runs on presence.
AI calculates and predicts.
BI whispers and reveals.
When was the last time your body told you something your mind wasn’t ready to hear?
Did you listen?
Body Intelligence means remembering that the body is not just a vehicle—it is a guide, a messenger, and an oracle.
It’s about cultivating the awareness to listen when your body speaks:
To notice when your shoulders tighten as you say “yes” but really mean “no.”
To feel the expansion in your chest when you step toward something aligned.
To sense the flutter in your belly that signals excitement rather than fear.
Body Intelligence is not about pushing harder or being stronger.
It’s about softening into listening—recognising that your body carries the wisdom of generations, seasons, cycles and intuition far beyond what data can compute.
So pause for a moment—
What signals is your body giving you right now as you read these words?
We live in a world of polarity, and AI vs BI is one of the clearest reflections of that.
Artificial Intelligence: Fast, efficient, external, mechanical, calculated, predictable.
Body Intelligence: Slow, intuitive, internal, organic, embodied, mysterious.
AI is about the future. BI is about the now.
AI offers infinite possibilities, but it risks erasing individuality. BI anchors us to the uniqueness of our humanness.
The reach of AI is not just online—it’s seeping into our work, our livelihoods, our worth. Almost 75% of resumes are now screened by an AI ‘bot’ before they even reach human eyes. Imagine that. Years of experience, passion, and personality—distilled into keywords that may or may not match an algorithm.
I know I would be furious if I found out a bot had filtered me out of a role I was born for. Especially if I knew I was the “it” person—the exact soul, skills, and spark that position needed. That is the danger of relying too heavily on artificial intelligence. It reduces us to data points. It forgets our humanness.
How would you feel if your creations, dreams, passion or work role was judged by a bot before a human even had the chance to see you?
The dance between AI and BI is not about choosing one and demonising the other.
It’s about balance. It’s about letting AI be supportive without allowing it to colonise the very thing that makes us human: our living intelligence.
Connecting with body intelligence is a practice of devotion. It is not instant, like an AI prompt. It is cultivated through attention, patience, and presence.
Here is what works for me:
Breath awareness while placing one hand on my heart and one on my belly, feeling the rise and fall.
Somatic check-ins to ask, What’s tight? What’s open?
Movement as medicine by moving without agenda: a barefoot dance, a slow walk, a stretch that releases tension.
Gut-feel journaling while noticing how my body responds to words I write down, whether there’s expansion or contraction.
Stillness rituals – that invite silence and sensing what arises.
If your body had a voice, what would it want to tell you right now?
These are some practices you can try to reconnect with the intelligence and wisdom of your body:
Morning Scan: Before you touch your phone, close your eyes and scan your body from head to toe. Ask: What’s alive in me today? What do I need?
The Yes/No Exercise; Recall a moment when you felt a full-body yes—how did it feel? Now recall a moment when you knew something was a no—what did your body do? Compare the two sensations. This is your body’s inner compass.
Breath Reset
When scattered, pause and inhale slowly for a count of 4. Exhale for a count of 6. Repeat five times. Let your body soften into safety.
Movement Pause
Every couple of hours, rise, roll your shoulders, sway, or shake out your limbs. Your body thrives on circulation.
Sacred Sensing
Place a piece of food—fruit, chocolate, tea—on your tongue. Close your eyes and savour every texture, flavour, and sensation. This practice trains you to notice subtle signals.
Intuitive Listening
Ask your body a question, like Do I need rest or movement? Notice what sensation or urge arises first. That is your body speaking.
Which of these practices feels most doable for you today?
My head and heart are weary of artificial intelligence—not because it doesn’t have value, but because it can never replace the sacred humanness of body wisdom.
AI is fast, clever, and efficient. But BI is alive, ancient, and deeply personal.
Body intelligence is not loud, flashy, or artificial. It is subtle, steady, and profoundly real. It is your breath anchoring you to the moment, your heartbeat guiding your choices, your cells whispering truths only you can hear.
So next time you feel pulled into the efficiency of the artificial, pause.
Place a hand on your chest.
Take a breath.
Ask your body.
Because your body is the truest technology you will ever own.
