Sacred September

astrology intuition journal prompts moon magic Sep 07, 2025
Sharing these words today on the 7th of September 2025, I feel the weight and wonder of this moment moving through every cell. The first official week of September is behind us, and yet it feels as though an entire season of growth, reflection, and release has already unfolded in just these seven days. Time has stretched and deepened, as if each day has carried the lessons of a month, and every sunrise has arrived with its own invitation to pause, reset, and realign.

September carries the vibration of transition. It is the month when the cosmic clock seems to chime louder—reminding us that the year is not yet over, but it is shifting shape.
September is where the threads of what has been begin to weave into the tapestry of what will be. It is the threshold between chapters, a liminal space where endings and beginnings overlap like the meeting of tides.

There are seasons when life calls us to leap—bold, unapologetic and fierce. There are also seasons when life whispers: simplify, pare back, and remember what matters most. September holds both frequencies.
It is a sacred pause in motion—an exhale and an inhale happening at once.
It teaches us that growth is not only found in acceleration but also in stillness, in the gentle art of recalibration.

As I sit here, finger resting on the keys, the sunlight shining brightly through the window—blue skies stretched wide above me, golden beams pouring gently across my laptop. In this stillness, I feel the soft release of what has been, like exhaling the weight of seasons past and the quiet stirring of what is yet to come.

September feels like a mirror, reflecting back the resilience of the months that have shaped me, while also extending her hands, inviting me into the unknown. There is a sense of renewal in the air, a reminder that endings and beginnings are never separate—they are woven together, shimmering like light across water.

Tomorrow is no ordinary day as there will be a total eclipse of the heart… I mean eclipse of the moon as we will stand under the glow of a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. For me as a passionate Piscean this feels like my soul dancing bare beneath the silver glow of the moon.

The energy is intense, like a tide pulling everything loose within me out into the open—old memories, unspoken griefs, hidden dreams and visions I have been too timid to name. The eclipse amplifies it all, illuminating both shadow and possibility.

Pisces imagines everything: whimsical futures, mystical visions, a thousand shimmering realities and opposite her stands Virgo, practical and discerning, asking: What is true? What is sustainable? What is gold and what is glitter?

This lunar eclipse invites surrender.
It asks us to release the stories we’ve been carrying that no longer sustain our souls. The Virgo Sun, in its quiet wisdom, calls us to ground, to choose with clarity and to trust our gut. Together, they remind us that sensitivity is not weakness—it is wisdom.

For me personally, the eclipse feels like a mirror to my heart. I can feel the pull between dissolving into infinite compassion and discerning where my energy is best placed.
It is teaching me to be kind, but also clear. To be open, but also anchored.
To honour both the dreamer and the doer within me.

In the midst of all this movement, I’ve been guided by a mantra that feels like both a lifeline and a compass: I pause to reset. I choose presence, clarity and balance. I release what no longer sustains me and I align with all that lights me up.

These words are not just affirmations—they are an anchor. Each time I whisper them, I feel my shoulders drop, my breath deepen, and my heart soften. They remind me that clarity doesn’t come from doing more, but from choosing with intention. That balance is not a fixed state, but a living, breathing dance. That letting go is an act of love, not loss.

I return to this mantra whenever I feel scattered, rushed, or unsure. It pulls me back into the rhythm of this month, reminding me of the simplicity and power of presence.

Repeat this mantra out loud.
Whisper it into your morning tea.
Write it in your journal or place it by your bedside.
Let it guide you back to yourself, again and again.

Here is the cosmic clockwork for September—the astrological events that have occurred, are occurring and are yet to unfold this month.
Each one is a checkpoint, an invitation and a moment of reflection as we move through this sacred season.

🌑 September 1 – Saturn Retrograde in Pisces
Ancient atonement. Forgiveness. Karmic completion.
When Saturn stationed retrograde in my home sign of Pisces, I felt it ripple through me like a tide—deep, insistent, unignorable. Saturn is the taskmaster, the great teacher, the stern elder. And in Pisces, he doesn’t just discipline—he asks for depth. He holds up a lantern in the watery corners of the soul and says: Face what you would rather float away from.

In those first days of September, I felt old stories resurface, almost like waves carrying memories back to shore. Times when I gave too much. Times when compassion tipped into depletion. Moments when sensitivity became exhaustion. It was as though my past selves came back for conversation, asking for closure.

💭 Where have you confused love with self-sacrifice?
💭 Where can you soften anything that has hardened?
💭 Where can I forgive yourself?
💭 Where can structure support my dreams rather than suffocating them?

⚡ September 6 – Uranus Stations Retrograde
Internal revolution, Disruption becomes design.
When Uranus turned retrograde yesterday, I felt it immediately—like static electricity humming through my body. My sleep was restless, filled with vivid dreams. My mind sparked with sudden insights, flashes of possibility. Uranus is the awakener, the lightning bolt, the revolutionary. Direct, he shakes the outer world. Retrograde, he turns that electricity inward.

For me, this retrograde feels like a quiet rebellion—not against others, but against the outdated versions of myself I’ve long outgrown. Agreements made in survival, in fear, in the desire to stay small or hidden—Uranus illuminated them all. It felt like permission to release those silent contracts and reclaim choice.

His whisper was clear: You are allowed to change your mind. You are allowed to choose differently now.

💭 What awakening is asking to be integrated?
💭 What outdated promise am I ready to release?
💭 What inner rebellion is ready to be expressed as authentic action in my outer world?
💭 How can I transform disruption into design—creating new rhythms, structure or choices that serve me?

🌕 September 7 – Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces
Release and be embraced.
Today, the culmination.
The eclipse is not simply a full moon—it is a full moon amplified, a cosmic reset, a rewriting of the script. It feels like standing under a floodlight of soul-truth, raw and unfiltered.

My Piscean heart longs to dissolve into boundless love, to forgive, to hold compassion for all. The Virgo Sun steadies me, whispering: But what is truly yours to hold?

It is raw.
It is beautiful.
It is both shedding and blessing.
I feel called to release the stories I’ve stitched together from obligation, fear or duty.
To let go of versions of myself created to please or protect.
To step into alignment with what truly lights me up.

💭 What story no longer sustains me?
💭 What truth feels alive in my body and is ready to be lived?

This is not just any eclipse—it is also a total lunar eclipse, sometimes called a blood moon. Visible across much of Australia, Africa, India, China and parts of Europe, the moon will glow red for about 82 minutes in the early hours of September 8th.
As the moon reaches perigee (its closest point to Earth in orbit) it will appear larger, more luminous, and deeply moving to behold.

Unlike solar eclipses, no glasses are needed to view this event. All you need is a dark sky, an open heart and perhaps a moment of stillness to honour what is being revealed and released.

☀️ September 13 – Sun Conjunct Mercury
Clarity portal. Say what is true.
As a Piscean, my truths often arrive in whispers—through dreams, intuition, and synchronicity. But under this transit, it feels different—like fog lifting, clarity sharpening, and insights striking like lightning.

This is a moment to speak with courage. To name what matters. To let truth move through me, even if my voice trembles. A time to trust the words rising from the centre of the heart, and to allow them space to be spoken.

💭 What truth have I been silencing?
💭 what words would free me if spoken out loud?
💭 How can I speak with both compassion and clarity, even when it feels uncomfortable?

💫 September 18 – Mercury Enters Libra
Words as bridges. Speak with grace.
When Mercury drifts into Libra, conversations soften. For me, it feels like an invitation to lean into harmony, to use my words as balm. My Piscean sensitivity sometimes pulls me inward, but this transit asks me to speak as a bridge.

It reminds me that communication is not just about being heard, but about creating connection. It’s about listening deeply, letting empathy guide the rhythm of dialogue, and finding the middle ground.

This feels like the right time for gentle conversations that heal—for words that soothe, for pauses that honour, for voices that meet one another with grace.

💭Where can I use my words as medicine?
💭How can I bring more grace into my life and the way I communicate?

🌹 September 19 – Venus Enters Virgo
Love in humble detail.
Venus in Virgo reminds me that love is not always the grand gesture. Sometimes it’s the quiet ways we care for ourselves—the warm meal, the journal page, the act of rest. Sometimes it’s the devotion of showing up for others through small, meaningful details.

As a Piscean, I am drawn to big, sweeping gestures and the depths of connection. Venus in Virgo whispers Love is in the little things. This transit feels like an invitation to see the sacred in the ordinary, to honour the body through care, to cook with intention, to create rituals that remind me I am cherished.

It’s devotion embodied in the everyday—reminding us that the smallest acts of love often carry the deepest meaning.

💭 How can I show love throughout detail?
💭 What small act of devotion would nourish me today?
💭 How can I offer myself an act of love today that feels simple yet deeply nourishing?
💭 What small yet intentional gesture can I offer someone else to let me them know they are seen and cherished?

🌑 September 21 – Solar Eclipse in Virgo
Reset. Completion. New beginnings rooted in essentials.
This solar eclipse feels like a deep exhale—a powerful reset.
Virgo doesn’t clutter; Virgo refines. She asks: What is essential? What is true?

For me, this eclipse feels like an invitation to let my Piscean dreams flow freely, but to honour them with form, structure, and discernment. To simplify so that what truly matters can shine. To filter the shimmering sea of possibility and anchor the dream that is truly ready to live.

It is not about doing more, but about choosing what matters most. Virgo energy clears the clutter, pares back, and brings integrity and focus to the visions that are asking to take form.

💭 What clutter am I ready to physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically clear?
💭 What dream is asking to be brought into form?
💭 Where in my life can I refine with discernment—clearning what distracts me so I can give my energy to what truly matters?

⚖️ September 22 – Sun Enters Libra (Equinox)
Balance returns. Equal day and night.
The equinox is one of my favourite cosmic moments—equal day, equal night.

It feels like a breath held in perfect suspension, a reminder that balance is not static but a dance between opposites. Like breath itself, balance moves as an inhale and an exhale with a rhythm of give and receive.

As a Piscean, I often drift into extremes—depth or distance, all or nothing.
The equinox invites me to return to the centre. To honour both my light and my shadow. To embrace both giving and receiving. To weave together dreaming and grounding, compassion and clarity.
It reminds me that harmony is found not in perfection but in presence.

💭 Where in my life is balance asking to be restored?
💭 What would harmony feel like in my body, my relationships, my work?
💭 Which aspects of myself have I neglected and how can I restore harmony with the fullness of who i am?

September feels like a true new year.
The haze of summer clears—or here in Australia, the heaviness of winter lifts and vision sharpens.
This is not a month for overwhelm; it is a month for alignment.

Think of it as building momentum with balance:
Steady routines that ground you when life feels chaotic.
Intentional projects that truly light you up.
Clarity of focus that guides your next chapter.

As a Piscean, I am leaning into both sides of myself this month: the dreamer and the discerner.
The one who imagines, and the one who grounds.

This evening I willl be honouring the eclipse with a simple ritual. If you feel called, you can join me:
Water bowl reflection: Fill a bowl with water and place it under the moonlight. Gaze into it as though it were a mirror. Ask: What am I ready to release? What truth am I ready to receive

Breath of release: Inhale deeply, hold for a count of seven, then exhale with sound. Imagine releasing old stories with every breath.

journaling sequence
The story I am ready to let go of is.....
The patterns that no longer serve me are.....
The truth I am ready to speak into is....
The devotion I choose for myself this season is...

Closing mantra: Whisper into the night: I trust my sensitivity. I trust my wisdom. I choose with clarity and kindness.

Offering to water: Pour the water from your bowl into the earth, a river, or even your garden. Release with gratitude.

If you are in Australia like me (or one of the regions graced by this eclipse), you can take your ritual beneath the moonlit sky.
The eclipse begins in the early hours of Monday, September 8 (3:30am AEST, 3:00am ACST, 1:30am AWST), with the maximum eclipse peaking at 4:11am AEST. Let the red glow of the moon become part of your ceremony—each breath, each intention, each whisper released beneath its shadow.

Sacred September is a reminder to all of us:
Every ending is also a beginning.
Every exhale creates space for the inhale.
Every reset is an act of devotion.

In the lead up to the eclipse, I feel my Piscean nature not as fragility, but as power. Sensitivity is my compass, kindness my anchor and imagination my fire.

Pause. Reset. Ignite.
Your sacred September has begun.
