growth inspirational humans reflection wild lessons wisdom Mar 13, 2025

I write this with a heavy heart as a few days ago, we lost an extraordinary soul—someone whose kindness, strength, and unwavering spirit left an undeniable mark on the world.

Grief reminds us of the depth of love, the power of connection, and the gift of every shared moment. As I sit with this loss, I also feel immense gratitude for the light Aren brought into my life and so many others.

Some individuals possess a rare ability to touch hearts, leaving an indelible impact through their actions, words, and presence. Aren Bahia was one of those souls—a man whose journey from adversity to purpose became a beacon of inspiration. His life proved that transformation is always possible, that our past does not define us, and that true purpose is found not in where we start but in how we choose to move forward.

Through his podcast Ink Pray Love, his businesses, and his daily interactions, Aren guided countless individuals to embrace their Dharma, lead with heart, and step boldly into their truth. He embodied transformation—living proof that no matter where we come from, we have the power to rewrite our story.

This blog is not just about grief—it is a celebration of Aren’s life, his wisdom, and his lasting impact. Though I mourn his physical absence, I find solace in knowing he is still here, guiding us in ways we may not yet understand but can deeply feel.

Aren’s path was not a straight line—it was a full hero’s arc. From the streets of Vancouver to the serene landscapes of Bali, his journey encompassed the full spectrum of human experience. His transformation—from a life intertwined with crime to one devoted to spirituality, entrepreneurship, and service—was nothing short of remarkable.

In Bali, he founded Karma House Bali and Conscious Arts Tattoos, creating spaces where seekers could connect, heal and express themselves. So much more than booming businesses, these were sanctuaries for community and personal growth.

With Ink Pray Love, Aren built something far greater than a podcast—he created a movement. A space for deep, soulful conversations. A community where people felt seen, inspired, and unconditionally supported. His gift was his ability to connect with people at the heart level, reminding us that we are all worthy of love, healing, and purpose.

Aren made the spiritual feel grounded, the deep feel light, and the serious feel joyful. His energy was magnetic. If you ever heard him speak—on his podcast, at an event, or in conversation—you know he had a way of making wisdom feel accessible, real, and transformative.

Aren lived a life that was filled with lessons that will continue to inspire. Here are a few he shared during his time on Earth.

Follow Your Dharma—Let Your Heart Lead: Your purpose is waiting for you, ready to unfold in ways you may not yet fully see. Stop hesitating, stop overthinking—trust that the path will reveal itself as you walk it. Step into it with courage, knowing that when you follow your heart’s calling, you are exactly where you are meant to be.

Commit to Growth: Never stop evolving, expanding and seeking new experiences. Growth isn’t a destination—it’s a lifelong journey of learning, unlearning and becoming. The moment you think you have arrived is the moment you stop truly living, so stay open, stay curious and embrace the ever-unfolding path ahead.

Love Is the Only Way: Love isn’t just something we feel—it’s something we choose, over and over again, in the way we speak, the way we show up, and the way we move through the world. It’s a guiding force, a daily practice, and the foundation of all true connection.

Transform Pain into Strength: The things that hurt you can become the things that fuel you, shaping you into a wiser, stronger and more resilient version of yourself. Pain is not the end of the story—it’s a catalyst for growth, transformation and a deeper understanding of your own power.

Embrace Authenticity: When you start being real with yourself—truly, unapologetically real—that’s when the magic happens. Authenticity isn’t just about self-expression; it’s about deep self-acceptance, honoring who you are at your core, and letting go of the need for external validation. The more you embrace your truth, the more aligned, magnetic and fulfilled your life becomes.

Laughter Heals: Even in deep, thought-provoking conversations, Aren never lost his sense of humour. He understood that laughter isn’t just an afterthought—it’s medicine for the soul. It lightens heavy moments, brings people together and reminds us not to take life too seriously. Even in the midst of challenges, finding joy and humour can be one of the greatest forms of healing.

Be of Service: The more you give, the more you grow. Service isn’t just about helping others—it’s about expanding your heart, deepening your purpose, and creating meaningful connections. True happiness comes not from what we accumulate, but from what we contribute. When we show up for others with kindness, generosity, and an open heart, we elevate not only their lives but our own.

Live Fully—Right Here, Right Now: Life is happening in this very moment—don’t wait for the “perfect” time, the right circumstances or for everything to fall into place. The present is all we truly have, and the more we embrace it, the richer and more fulfilling life becomes. Take the leap, say yes to new experiences, and allow yourself to fully live instead of just waiting to exist.

Trust the Journey—Even When It Doesn’t Make Sense: Life rarely unfolds in a straight line, and sometimes the path ahead feels uncertain or messy. The journey of Aren Bahia is a testament to the power of trusting the process, even when things don’t go as planned. Every challenge, setback and unexpected detour carries a lesson, shaping us in ways we are unable to see in the present moment. When you surrender to the flow of life with faith and resilience, you often end up exactly where you were meant to be—stronger, wiser and more aligned than ever before.

Your Past Doesn’t Define You—Your Choices Do: The sorry of Aren is proof that no matter where you come from or what you’ve been through, you always have the power to rewrite your future. Your past may shape you, but it doesn’t have to limit you. Growth comes from the choices you make today—the decision to rise, to evolve, and to step into the person you’re meant to be. You are not bound by your history; you are defined by how you move forward.

Surround Yourself with Soul Family: The people around you influence your mindset, energy and direction in life. Aren often spoke about the importance of choosing your circle wisely—being around those who uplift, challenge and inspire you. Growth flourishes in the right environment, and when you surround yourself with people who align with your values and vision, you accelerate your own transformation. Relationships should expand your potential, not limit it.

If you haven’t yet explored his podcast, I encourage you to. His voice, laughter, and wisdom are still here, waiting to meet you. At the bottom of this blog I have shared some of the podcast episodes that have touched my life in different way.

Though my time with Aren was brief, its impact was profound. He had a rare ability to see people—not just as they were, but as who they could become. He reminded us that our dreams weren’t just possible; they were inevitable.

Grief is the cost of love, and when someone as luminous as Aren transitions, the ache is real. Grief is also sacred—it reminds us that love is eternal, that those we lose never truly leave us.

I believe that when someone we love moves beyond this world, they do not abandon us—they become our guides. The work of Aren was always about uplifting others and that mission has transformed and will continue evolving.

Aren is still here—whispering encouragement, reminding us to laugh, love, and never be afraid to walk our true path. He continues to support us in ways we may not yet understand but can deeply feel.

Life moves in cycles of creation, transformation, death and rebirth. Nothing is ever truly lost, only changed. The physical earth side journey for Aren may have ended, but his spirit, his teachings and his love live on in the countless lives he touched.

To honour his memory is to embody his lessons:

🌿 Cherish your loved ones. Tell them you love them. Hug them tighter. Show up for them. Be present.

🌿 Embrace every moment. Life is fleeting, but beautiful. Don’t wait for the right time—live fully, now.

🌿 Be grateful for each breath in your body. Every inhale is a gift. Every heartbeat is sacred.

Aren lived fully, loved deeply and gave endlessly and in doing so, he left the world a whole lot brighter.

His voice echoes in the wisdom he shared. His love radiates in the community he built. While we miss him deeply, we also celebrate him—his spirit, his laughter, his wisdom.

Aren Bahia will continue guiding us, reminding us to lead with love—from wherever he is now.

Rest in love, Aren.

Thank you for everything.

Below is a curated selection of my favorite Ink Pray Love episodes—each a thread in the tapestry of self-expression, resilience, creativity, and the wondrous journey of being human. Filled with Aren’s wisdom and heart, these episodes are powerful reminders of his transformative impact. A trusted companion on the journey within, Ink Pray Love explores creativity, healing, and self-discovery. Each episode offers fresh insights, new perspectives, or a gentle nudge toward something greater. I often found myself nodding in agreement, jotting down reflections and pausing or rewinding the conversations to soak in the wisdom shared.

In a world where authenticity, intuition, and self-empowerment take many forms, Ink Pray Love stands as a guiding light. Thought leaders, healers, entrepreneurs, and seekers weave deep conversations, spiritual insights, and personal transformations. Whether embracing prayer, breaking free from limiting beliefs, or harnessing creative energy, Ink Pray Love delivers soul-nourishing content rooted in intuition, authenticity, and meaningful change.

Listening to the following episodes on sacred self-practice and empowerment reminded me that true transformation happens in quiet moments of devotion—the whispered prayers, the small yet powerful rituals and the decision to walk our own path. They explore self-discipline while honoring intuition, asking how daily rituals, conscious devotion, and personal empowerment shape our lives. With depth, wisdom and soul, these conversations illuminate the beauty of intentional living.

Episode 4: Blu – Prayer, Self-Practice and Ferraris This episode with Blu was a fascinating deep dive into the intersection of devotion, daily practice and the unexpected metaphors that shape our journey (yes, even Ferraris). The way she speaks about prayer as an energetic practice struck a chord with me, reminding me that intention is everything. Her perspective beautifully illustrates how spirituality and material reality intertwine in surprising and meaningful ways.

Episode 10: Lukis Mac – Path to Self-Empowerment This episode didn’t resonate—it had the power to ignite something within. As the main man behind Owaken Breathwork, Lukis does more than just talk about empowerment; he embodies it. His journey of self-discovery and breaking free from limitations felt like a mirror, reflecting back the moments in my own life where I have had to choose between staying small or stepping fully into my power.

His wisdom felt like a fire being lit in my heart—a call to action to own my truth, release old stories that no longer serve me, and trust that my power lies in authenticity. It made me reflect on the times I’ve hesitated, second-guessed myself or allowed fear to keep me in familiar patterns. How often do we hold onto identities or beliefs that no longer fit, simply because they feel safe?

Lukis reminds us that empowerment isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about reclaiming who we have always been beneath the layers of conditioning which takes a whole lot of courage. This episode was a reminder that stepping into our fullest expression isn’t just for our benefit—it ripples out into the world, giving others permission to do the same.

For anyone feeling stuck, uncertain or on the edge of transformation, this episode is the push you didn’t know you needed. True empowerment isn’t about waiting for the perfect moment—it’s about choosing yourself, right here, right now.

Episode 11: Sahara Rose – Finding Your Dharma A vibrant conversation on uncovering your soul purpose and aligning with your truest calling, this episode with Sahara Rose was filled with her signature energy and wisdom. I loved her perspective on dharma—how our life’s purpose isn’t necessarily one thing, but rather a living, breathing evolution. It left me reflecting on the different seasons of my own journey and how each one has led me closer to my authentic calling.

Intuition is our inner compass, guiding us toward alignment, truth and wholeness. How do we strengthen this gift? How do we access the well of wisdom that lives within us? Trusting intuition is an ongoing practice—one that requires patience, presence, and deep listening. The following episodes explore the power of intuitive intelligence and self-trust, reminding me that my inner knowing is always there, whispering, guiding, and waiting for me to trust it fully.

Episode 13: Helle Weston – How to Harness Your Intuitive Intelligence The wisdom from Helle Weston on intuitive intelligence is both practical and profound, making this episode feel like sitting down with a wise friend who just gets it. She explores what it means to listen to the whispers of the soul, trust gut feelings, and cultivate a deep relationship with intuition as a guiding force in life. Her insights resonated deeply, especially when she spoke about how society often teaches us to override our instincts. I was reminded of the countless times I have second-guessed myself, only to realise later that my first gut feeling was right all along.

Episode 18: Brandon Schram – Discover Your True Power What does it mean to stand in our power? Brandon Schram breaks it down in a way that feels raw, real and deeply empowering. His energy was contagious, making this episode a journey into self-mastery, inner strength, and the tools we can use to unlock the limitless potential within us. It was a powerful reminder that our power doesn’t come from external validation—it comes from within. His words left me reflecting on all the ways I have given my power away in the past and how reclaiming it is an absolute act of self-love.

Episode 33:Therese Tierney - Business Energetics & Heightened Intuition A fascinating exploration of the energy behind business success. Therese Tierney shares insights on how intuition plays a key role in entrepreneurship, decision-making, and creating alignment in business. This episode dives into the unseen forces that shape our work, reminding us that strategy alone isn’t enough—it’s about the energy we bring, the beliefs we hold, and the intuitive nudges we follow. It’s a must-listen for anyone looking to build a business with purpose, flow, and authenticity.

Creativity and magnetism go hand in hand. When we are fully in our truth, fully expressed and fully aligned with all that lights us up, we naturally draw in the right people, opportunities and experiences. Creativity is a birthright, and magnetism is an energy we cultivate when we live in alignment with our authentic selves. How can we tap into our most creative, expressive and radiant selves?

Episode 21: Raven Royce – Awakening Your Creative Expression Raven Royce brings a refreshing perspective on creativity as a sacred practice—a soulful exploration of self-expression and authenticity. This episode is a love letter to creation, encouraging us to embrace the art that wants to flow through us—without fear or self-judgment. I have always believed that creativity is a birthright, but Raven Royce took that belief to another level. Her perspective on creative expression as a sacred act felt like an invitation to stop holding back, to create just because, and to let the process be messy, wild, and free.

Episode 41: Aren Bahia – Six Ways to Become Magnetic Magnetism isn’t just about external attraction—it’s an energy shift, a state of being that draws opportunities, people and experiences to us. This episode was pure gold, blending tangible tips with deeper energetic shifts that had me reflecting on how I show up in the world. It explores six powerful ways to cultivate energy, embodiment and intentional presence, reinforcing the idea that magnetism is about being rather than doing—it’s about alignment, not effort.

Life is a wild ride—full of challenges, unexpected turns, and serendipitous moments that change everything. How do we navigate it all with grace, resilience and a willingness to evolve? Some stories shake you awake, reminding you of the resilience we all carry within us and the magic that unfolds when we surrender to life’s unexpected twists and turns.

Episode 36: Anthony Engelen – How to Persevere Through Anything I listened to this episode on a morning run, and it fueled me in a way I wasn’t expecting. The journey of perseverance that Anthony Engelen shares made me reflect on my own moments of struggle—the times I wanted to quit, the times I doubted myself—and how pushing through always led to something greater. Resilience isn’t just about surviving; it’s about thriving despite adversity. In this episode, Anthony shares powerful lessons on resilience and the mindset required to overcome life’s biggest challenges, offering insights and practices that help us endure and emerge stronger.

Episode 38: Sky Cowans – Sharing Your Authentic Self Sky Cowans reminds us of the beauty and power of authenticity. In a world of curated images and filtered perfection, her honesty in this episode felt like a breath of fresh air—an invitation to be seen, to be real, and to share our truth, even when it feels uncomfortable. Vulnerability and authenticity are words we hear often, but Sky truly embodied them in this conversation, speaking openly about the challenges of putting yourself out there and the self-doubt that can creep in when we do.

Her words deeply resonated, sparking reflections on my own fears around sharing my truth. How often do we censor ourselves, shaping our expression to fit expectations rather than letting it flow freely? It’s easy to get caught up in how we should present ourselves, but Sky and her journey aare a reminder that the most magnetic and fulfilling way to live is by embracing our full, unfiltered selves.

This episode explores vulnerability, content creation and the power of being unapologetically YOU. More than that, it serves as a reminder that true connection doesn’t come from perfection—it comes from showing up as we are, in all our raw, imperfect and beautiful humanity.

Episode 39: Saskia Mardi – Business Help for Weird and Wonderful Humans For those who don’t fit the conventional mold, this episode is a must-listen. Saskia Mardi shares insights on building a business and a life that embrace individuality, creativity, and a little bit of weirdness, offering practical wisdom for entrepreneurs and creatives forging their own path.

Episode 42: Aren Bahia – How to Know You’re Ready for Change How do you know when it’s time to leap? That’s the question at the heart of this episode, and Aren Bahia explores it with depth, honesty and a lived understanding of what it means to embrace transformation. He shares insightful markers—signs, shifts and intuitive nudges—that signal when we are being called to step into a new chapter of life.

This conversation couldn’t have come at a better time. The idea that change isn’t always about knowing how—sometimes it’s just about trusting—hit me right in the heart. It made me reflect on the many moments in my life where I stood on the edge of something new, unsure whether I was ready, only to realise later that the readiness came in the leap itself.

The wisdom shared by Aren in this episode reminded me that we often wait for certainty before making a move, but real transformation requires faith—faith in ourselves, faith in the process, faith that the unknown holds more possibility than fear. This episode encouraged me to tune into those subtle inner whispers that tell us when it’s time to shift, even when logic tells us to stay put.

For anyone feeling stuck, on the brink of change, or waiting for the “perfect” moment to take a leap—this episode is your sign. Sometimes, the most profound growth comes not from having all the answers but from having the courage to take the first step.

Healing isn’t linear, and transformation isn’t always comfortable, but both are necessary for stepping into our highest potential. It’s not just about fixing something—it’s about integration, acceptance and allowing ourselves to evolve into who we were always meant to be.

Episode 46: Aeon The Poet (Jesse Wynyard) – Healing the Hood Some podcast episodes don’t just leave an impression—they settle deep in your bones. This was one of those episodes. Aeon The Poet, speaks with a rawness and depth that feels like a transmission straight from the soul. His words are more than poetry; they are an invocation, a rallying cry and a salve for the wounds many carry.

Listening to this episode, I was reminded of how words shape our realities. The stories we tell—about ourselves, our past, our communities—can either imprison us or set us free. The way Aeon chooses and uses poetry as a tool for healing felt both deeply personal and profoundly universal. It reaffirmed something I have always felt but rarely hear expressed so boldly—words don’t just describe reality, they create it.

This conversation left me reflecting on the narratives I carry. Are they rooted in limitation or expansion, fear or love? Beyond my own inner world, how can I contribute to collective healing through the words I speak and share?

Poetry and storytelling have long been mediums for revolution and restoration. This episode was a powerful reminder that healing doesn’t always happen in structured spaces—it happens in unguarded moments, in the rhythms of spoken word that crack open something hidden within. More than anything, Healing the Hood was a call to action. A reminder that we all have a voice, a story, a truth worth sharing.

Episode 54: Jet Van Wijk – Did I Boss Babe Too Hard? Oh, the burnout cycle. This episode had me nodding in recognition, feeling both seen and slightly called out. Jet Van Wijk speaks with raw honesty about the pressure to do it all, exposing how hustle culture convinces us that success means constant overachievement. As Jet so powerfully reminds us, true success isn’t about grinding ourselves into the ground—it’s about alignment.

Am I chasing goals because I truly want them, or because I think I’m supposed to? It’s so easy to get caught in the cycle of working harder without questioning if it’s actually leading to a fulfilling life. This episode was a much-needed reminder that stepping back isn’t failure—it’s self-leadership.

For anyone feeling overwhelmed by the need to achieve, this conversation offers a powerful reframe: success isn’t about how much we do, but how aligned we feel while doing it.

Episode 57: Dylan Werner – Spirituality, Sarcasm and The Secrets of The Universe A playful yet profound exploration of reality, belief systems, and the mysteries of existence, this episode blends humour and wisdom for a deep dive into how we perceive and navigate some of the biggest questions in life. Equal parts deep and hilarious. Dylan holds the ability to make spirituality feel accessible, raw, and refreshingly authentic, which made the episode even more engaging.

I have always been fascinated by the subconscious mind, and Chantell Fellowes shared insights that felt like keys to unlocking a deeper level of awareness and transformation.
