Wildly Aligned in Soul & Sisterhood: A Heart-Led Rite of Passage into 35
Mar 02, 2025
March has arrived, carrying the warmth of my birthday month and the joyful embrace of my Piscean heart. My birthday is just days away, but this year, I have chosen to stretch the celebrate all month long—because why not?
Birthdays, to me, have always been about more than candles on a cake or marking another year passing. They are sacred portals of reflection, renewal, and deep gratitude. They are invitations to pause, to honour the journey and to step into the next chapter with intention. This is a time to flow with reflection, connection, and deep gratitude, embracing the beauty of this new chapter with an open heart.
Today was the most beautiful way to welcome this new chapter—beginning with a sacred celebration circle, a heartfelt gathering with soul sisters who hold a special place in my heart. We shared stories, laughter, scrumptious food, and moments of deep presence, reflecting on the significance of this time and embracing the feelings that come with celebrating life. I feel truly honoured to step into 35 with intention, love and gratitude. If this is how the month begins, I can only imagine the magic, beauty, love and adventure still to come.
Birthdays have always held a special place in my heart—they are more than just milestones. They are invitations to pause, reflect, and celebrate the journey of becoming. Each year, birthdays arrive like whispers of transformation, nudging us to take stock of where we have been and where we are going. They ask us to reflect on what we have learned, how we have grown and who we are becoming.
This year, as I step into 35, I feel wildly aligned, deeply grounded, and unapologetically myself in a way I have never felt before. I knew I didn’t want just another party or family dinner. I longed for a gathering that felt like me—wild, soulful, heart-led, and infused with deep meaning. A space where I could fully embody this next chapter, surrounded by the women who love, inspire, support, and uplift me.
I envisioned an experience rich in presence—one that allowed space for laughter and reflection, for movement and stillness, for gratitude and intention. More than just celebrating my birthday, I wanted to celebrate life itself, our shared stories, and the sacredness of sisterhood. With the help of some incredible women, a soul-nourishing birthday circle came to life—a gathering woven with love, ritual, movement, and connection. A space where time slowed, hearts opened, and the simple beauty of being together took centre stage.
The day was filled with deep connection, creativity, sound healing, letters of love, and a feast to nourish both body and soul. Women—some of whom had never met before—gathered in open-hearted curiosity, sharing their stories, their presence, and their humanness with one another.
This was more than a birthday party. This was a homecoming—to myself, to my journey, and to the ancient power of women gathering in sacred sisterhood.
The circle was opened by one of my dearest soul sisters, the wild and unwavering heart that fuels @circleoflifewithellen, her words flowing straight into my heart and those of everyone gathered. It was an invocation of love, wisdom, and sisterhood—a reminder that we are held, seen and deeply connected, always.
At the center of our gathering lay a collection of wildflowers—bright, beautiful, untamed, unique and full of life, just like us. Each bloom was chosen with care, representing our unique journeys, the seasons we’ve walked through, and the beauty of who we are becoming. By the end of the celebration, these flowers would be gathered into a cherished bouquet—a symbol of love, support, and the magic woven into this sacred space.
As we sat in the circle, we created with our hands—weaving yarn into anklets, bracelets, and trinkets, each infused with intention. More than simple adornments, they became symbols of love, creativity, and the free-spirited energy that flows when women come together. The threads, though different, intertwined effortlessly—just like us.
Then came the letters—words from my soul sisters, filled with memories, inspiration, encouragement and wisdom to guide me into this next lap around the sun. I tucked them away, knowing I would return to them again and again—whispers of love to hold onto in moments of reflection.
This was more than a birthday celebration.
It was a homecoming—to myself, my journey, and the ancient power of women gathering in sacred sisterhood. A celebration of life, connection and the fire that ignites when women come together with presence, intention and love.
As the women arrived, the backyard transformed into a sacred oasis, adorned with flowers, candles and tokens of intention, creating an atmosphere of both celebration and reverence. Today was a moment in time to honour the journey, to reflect on the lessons, the love and the wild beauty of life itself.
There is something undeniably magnetic and powerful about a group of women coming together with open hearts and curious minds. Some had never met before, yet there was an instant recognition, a silent understanding of I see you, I know you, we are connected. From the moment they stepped into the space, I could feel it—the beauty, the energy, the depth that only a circle of women can bring.
There was laughter, warmth, soft introductions and easy conversations, but also an unspoken knowing that we were stepping into something special. It was a reminder of the magic that happens when women gather—not to compete or compare, but to share, to witness and to hold space for one another in the most authentic way possible.
There was no need for small talk. Within minutes, we were speaking of life, dreams, growth, change, love, loss and everything in between. The layers of formality peeled away effortlessly, leaving only presence, connection and the beauty of being fully seen and held. This, to me, is one of the greatest gifts of life: the ability to connect deeply, to share our humanness and to embrace both the light and the shadow with unconditional love and understanding.
As the sun warmed our skin and the air carried the scent of blossoms and earth, we began with a candle ritual—a moment to ignite the flame of intention, love, and connection calling in dreams and honouring the journey ahead.
Each woman was given a tealight candle and, one by one, lit them from the Reiki-infused pillar candle in the centre of this celebration circle. My heart and soul was so happy with the look, feel and smell of this creation—a ylang ylang and cedarwood Reiki-infused candle, crafted with intention and love by the loving hands of Trina from Halara & Co. As the flame flickered, words of affirmation, wishes and intentions were whispered into the light, carried away into the universe.
In that moment of pure magic, time seemed to pause. The energy of the space filled with love, reflection and powerful intention. For someone who usually finds words with ease—a natural word-weaver—this moment was a rare and humbling experience, beyond anything I could articulate.
As I sat there with my eyes closed, feeling the warmth of love and support. In this moment of stillness, of reverence I knew—this is exactly where I am meant to be.
This is what 35 feels like.
At the heart of this celebration circle, an altar of gratitude took form—a space adorned with wildflowers, crystals and candles. Each item held meaning. Each represented love, gratitude and a moment of deep appreciation.
A visual representation of the beauty of sisterhood—the support we pour into one another and the collective power of women gathering with sacred intention. A tangible expression of the magic that unfolds when women come together in deep presence and reverence.
Food has always been more than just sustenance to me—food is absolutely a love language, a way to gather, to share, to connect, to nourish not just our bodies but our souls. We came together over a beautifully curated feast—the table was adorned with seasonal fruits, homemade dips thanks to the goddess @plantfullyamy, cheeses (of course there was cheese) and the sweetest touch of all: a scrumptious white chocolate and caramel cake that was definitly tantalising to the tastebuds.
As we ate, we talked, we laughed and we shared stories—a gathering of hearts fully present in the simple yet profound joy of togetherness. There was something sacred about sitting in a space where every woman was seen, heard and valued. No rush. No distractions. Just deep presence, connection and appreciation for the moment.
Before closing the celebration, we took a moment for stillness.
Each woman was invited to write—a letter filled with love, share a memory with me or a reflection on our journey. Some letters were sealed for me to read later and other letters were read to me from one heart to another, their words carrying wisdom, kindness, love, encouragement and cherished memories.
These letters, like the yarn-woven bracelets and the wildflower bouquet, are pieces of this day that I will carry with me, reminders of this sacred celebration.
To integrate the energy of this gathering, we ended with a sound healing session—a moment of deep stillness, connection, and receiving. The final gift of the afternoon was led by the beautiful Anneke from Elemental Wisdom, allowing everything we had experienced—the connection, the love, the intention—to settle into our bodies, hearts minds and souls.
As the singing bowls, chimes, rainstick, and gentle vibrations filled the space, I felt everything settle—the love, the gratitude, the energy of the day wrapping itself around me like a warm embrace. I let the sound carry me, feeling my body relax, my heart open, my spirit expand.
A sense of deep peace, presence, and knowing washed over me and flowed around the circle. It was as if the sounds were whispering reminders—that I am exactly where I am meant to be, that this chapter is unfolding as it should, and that I am supported, held, and guided in ways both seen and unseen.
A moment of deep receiving, of being completely present, of letting go.
As I lay there, heart full and spirit grounded, I felt the resonance of every word spoken, every laugh shared, every word spoken, every loving embrace given.
With a final deep inhale and slow exhale, we closed the circle.
A moment of stillness.
A moment of gratitude.
A moment of quiet celebration before stepping back into the world beyond the circle.
Though this gathering was the first of many celebrations, my birthday is at the end of next week, I am embracing every moment of this birthday month. There is still more to come—more laughter, more reflection, more love. as I sit with this moment, this gathering, this memory—I feel full in the best way possible.
Deeply nourished.
Completely aligned.
This was about more than just another a birthday.
It was about marking a moment in time with meaning, with connection, with love. It was about honouring the past, embracing the present and stepping into the future with wide eyes, an open heart and a curious mind.
Those who were present weren’t just celebrating me. We were celebrating ourselves, each other and the powerful journey of womanhood in all its forms.
It was about marking a moment in time with intention, with connection, with love.
It was letters of love and whispered blessings.
It was wildflowers gathered and woven into memories.
It was nourishing food, soul-filling laughter and deep, deep presence.
It was a homecoming—to myself, to my journey, to the wild and wonderful unfolding of this life.
As I step into 35, I carry this celebration with me—not just as a memory, but as a guiding force.
✨ We deserve to celebrate ourselves in ways that set our souls on fire.
✨ We are meant to create spaces that feel like home.
✨ We can always choose to honour who we are, in all our wild, radiant, unique, beautiful and loving iterations.
I am so ready to say hello to 35. To more unconditional love, more presence, more alignment, and more wild, untamed joy.
May we always remember to celebrate ourselves—fully, freely, wildly and without hesitation—not just in milestones but in the everyday magic of who we are, exactly as we are. 💛
